A Seat at the Table... No Solange

In the DC/DMV area, we kept seeing the same thing...spaces that weren’t really for us. We wanted more than the same old club/party situation or Facebook friend group that's really a sneaky link freak-off disguised as a way to make new friends. We craved something intentional and not sexual:

• Intimate experiences where Black queer women 30+ could truly connect and actually hear each other speak.

• A circle that feels like your favorite long lost friend group — the one that always saved you a seat.

• Consistent moments where good taste, good conversation, and freedom meet.

So we built it ourselves. Now you're here, right on time.

The Vibe

Our signature Candle Lit Sundays events and seasonal pop-ups bring comfort, food, thoughtful pairings, and familiar faces together under soft light and good music. Our Higher Essentials pantry collection from Higher Society Foods lets you bring that same cozy, elevated vibe back home with you. With small-batch infusers, drizzles, and pantry must-haves you'll always leave our function with a way to lift every meal a little higher.

Everything we do is about real connection. Good bites, good people, and spaces where you can just be.
